Multiple Accounts

Learn how to create and manage multiple subaccounts on Blitz.

The Details

  • Traders can create and manage up to 4 accounts under one wallet.

  • Each account is cross-margined and has its positions and risks, independent from other accounts connected to the same wallet.

  • Traders can easily switch between accounts on the Blitz app.

  • Whatever account is selected will be the account used to trade and details displayed.

  • New accounts need to be funded to be created.

  • You can fund new accounts by depositing assets directly into the account during the creation process (transferring is coming soon).

Why Use Multiple Accounts?

Multiple accounts provides traders with the flexibility to use different accounts for specific reasons. For example a trader could have one account for each of the following:

  • Trading memecoins.

  • Trading major perpetual markets -- such as BTC and ETH.

  • Participating in trading competitions.

  • Holding spot assets and earning the deposit APR.

Since each account is isolated from one another, it also gives traders an option to trade one or few positions per account -- delivering a similar experience to isolated margin.

Traders can even name their accounts (e.g., 'Meme account') and assign an avatar specific to that account.

Guide: How to Create a new Account

Step 1: Open the Account Drop-Down Menu

  • It's located on the Portfolio side bar (picture 1, desktop only).

  • Click on your wallet / avatar in the Account Center (picture 2, desktop + mobile).

Step 3: Enter your New Account Details

  • Name your account.

  • Select an avatar using your ENS, Vertex Avatar or the default generated option when prompted.

Step 4: Fund Account (Deposit)

Funding your account during its creation is REQUIRED to successfully create a new account.

If you do not deposit funds and close or refresh the app, then the new account will be removed and you'll need to restart the account creation process.

The ability to transfer between accounts as an option to fund a new account will be released soon.

The app will now reflect your new account details.

Guide: How to Switch Accounts

Now that you have multiple accounts, you can easily switch between them.

  • Step 1: Simply click on the same Account drop won on the Portfolio page or in your Account Center.

  • Step 2: Click on the account you want to switch to.

The app will switch to your desired account. All relevant trading information will be reflected in the account you have selected.

The current account is represented by the green dot in the drop-down menu.

In summary, multiple accounts afford traders more flexibility when trading on Blitz.

Whether a user wants to use a new account to trade a single perpetual position that mimics isolated margin, separate their yield-bearing accounts from trading, or use a specific account for participating in trading competitions โ€“ the choice is yours, anon.
